Fennel’s anise/black licorice flavor is a unique profile in the vegetable garden and can be used in a variety of ways to add texture, flavor, and pop to the plate. Fennel grows in early spring, late summer, autumn and into early winter. Find it in the shoulder seasons in the CSA.
